Spousal and Child Support
Both parents are responsible for their minor child, regardless of a divorce, so both parents have to support their child financially.
Missouri courts use the Income Shares Model to determine the amount of child support. This model includes various tables for calculating the amount based on the number of minor children, as well as the total gross income of the parents.
The divorcing parents should use the Missouri Child Support Amount Calculation Worksheet to estimate child support for their particular dissolution case.
